Paradise Beach
A Giant Beach Club in Phuket

Once one of Phuket’s true hidden gems, Paradise Beach has become increasingly popular — yet the journey there still feels like an adventure. The drive takes you along a narrow, winding concrete road that twists through lush hills south of Patong. Though no longer the secret it once was, Paradise remains a stunning little bay well worth the trip, with crystal-clear water and soft white sand framed by jungle-covered cliffs.
Before 2015, Paradise Beach was a quiet, pristine spot with a single family-run restaurant and a handful of sun loungers. Since then, it has been transformed into a large beach club complex, complete with restaurants, bars, and music events. Access to the beach now requires an entrance fee (starting around 200 baht during the day, and rising during full-moon parties or special DJ nights).
Paradise actually consists of two small beaches, separated by a rocky headland. The main beach is shaded by coconut trees and is usually the busiest, while at night it turns into an open-air dance floor, hosting local and international DJs.
The second beach, smaller and quieter, features beach chairs set on terraces overlooking the turquoise sea and a bar perched at the top of the hill. Both beaches offer excellent snorkelling, especially near the rocks on either side of the bay.
How to get there
To reach Paradise Beach, head to the southern end of Patong Beach Road, turn left after the bridge, and continue past Baan Yin Dee and Merlin Beach Resort. After passing Emerald Beach, the road becomes steep and narrow — drive carefully through the jungle until you descend to the parking area. If you prefer not to drive, you can arrange a boat transfer with the beach club or hire a long-tail boat from the southern end of Patong Beach.

Paradise Beach Heads Up
Entrance fee charged to access what should be a public beach
Prices for food and drinks are significantly higher than average
Can get noisy and crowded during events or full-moon parties
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit is between December and April, when the sea is calm and visibility is perfect for snorkeling. The bay is sheltered, making it swimmable even during light monsoon swells, though heavy rains can make the access road slippery.
For a peaceful visit, go early in the morning before the beach club music starts.
