Laem Ka Noi & Laem Ka Noi Seafood
A Seafront Local Restaurant in Phuket

Laem Ka Noi is a tiny beach — so diminutive that it barely deserves the label — best known for its charming beachfront restaurant rather than its sand. Laem Ka Noi Seafood draws many Thai visitors on weekends for fresh local seafood, relaxed views, simple eats, and a mellow vibe. It’s not fancy, but it has a charm that feels authentic.
From Chalong Circle, head south toward Rawai. After passing the Phuket Seashell Museum, watch for a sign for Laem Ka Noi. The access road is narrow, steep in places, with sharp bends and potholes. The lower path down to the restaurant is a soil (i.e. unpaved or partially paved) slope — not ideal for all vehicles. The parking down at the restaurant is small; many people choose to park higher up and walk down.
One important recent issue: there have been reports that access to Laem Ka Noi is sometimes blocked or difficult, especially via the land route, due to private landowners or closed gates. This is a common theme with small beaches in the Rawai area.

Laem Ka Noi Highlights
-
Very authentic, off-the-beaten-track local place
-
Laem Ka Noi Seafood offers great seafood, scenic views, simple atmosphere
-
Calm water in many conditions, especially for wading, swimming in parts, or enjoying a meal by the water

Laem Ka Noi Drawbacks
-
Access is tricky: narrow, steep, often poorly maintained road; small parking areas; walking required from the top lot sometimes
-
The beach is very small and rocky; part of it submerged or with rocks, which limits comfortable swimming or lounging in some areas
-
Limited facilities (no sunbeds, umbrellas, or large bathrooms)
-
Sometimes access via land is restricted or blocked; conditions vary depending on season and local permissions
Best Time to Visit
High Season (November through April) is the best time: waters are calmer, visibility is better, access is more reliable. Morning visits are ideal — less heat, softer light, fewer people, and better chances that access isn’t blocked. Avoid the low season (May to October) during heavy rains, as the roads down can become slippery, and rough seas or rain may make the place less pleasant.
