Thai and Indian Food in a Pleasant Venue

Patong Social Restaurant- Thai and Indian Food in a Pleasant Venue

Patong Social Restaurant is a casual and welcoming restaurant in the heart of Patong, located on Rat-U-Thit 200 Pee Road, one of the main streets running through the resort town.

Part of the Patong Social Hotel, it is conveniently positioned within walking distance of Jungceylon, Bangla Road and Patong Beach. The restaurant offers an unusually broad menu combining Thai and Indian cuisine with European, Asian and fusion dishes, making it an easy choice when dining with a group that cannot agree on what to eat.

You can come for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or simply drop in for a drink. With its relaxed atmosphere, extensive menu and late opening hours, Patong Social is particularly convenient for an informal meal at almost any time of day.

Decor and Atmosphere

Patong Social has a comfortable, contemporary atmosphere that is more polished than its relatively casual setting might suggest. The restaurant is spacious and well kept, with a mixture of indoor air-conditioned seating and outdoor tables facing the busy Rat-U-Thit 200 Pee Road. The outdoor area is a good place to sit if you enjoy watching the constant flow of people and traffic through central Patong, while the indoor section provides a quieter and cooler environment.

The décor is modern without being particularly formal, with warm lighting and comfortable seating creating an easy-going setting for everything from breakfast to a late dinner. Reviews frequently mention the welcoming atmosphere and attractive décor, while the restaurant's location makes it a convenient stop when exploring Patong on foot.

What to Eat at Patong Social Restaurant

The menu is extensive, with Indian and Thai dishes forming the main focus alongside European, Asian and fusion options. If you enjoy Indian food, you can choose from curries, tandoori dishes, biryani, naan and Indo-Chinese specialities such as chilli chicken, chicken Manchurian and Schezwan chicken. The Thai selection includes familiar favourites such as Pad Thai, Tom Yum, green curry, Som Tam, seafood dishes and fried rice.

Some dishes have become popular with visitors, including butter chicken, cheese garlic naan, sweet-and-sour sea bass, shrimp cakes and pineapple fried rice served in a pineapple. There are also vegetarian and vegan choices, as well as sandwiches, salads, burgers and other international dishes. With such a wide choice, Patong Social works particularly well for groups with different tastes.

Things to Know

Patong Social is open daily and currently stays open until around 2am, making it an option for a late meal or drink after an evening out in Patong. Breakfast is available from the morning, and the restaurant serves lunch, dinner and drinks throughout the day. Reservations are accepted, while takeaway and free Wi-Fi are also available.

The restaurant is part of the Patong Social Hotel, so hotel guests can conveniently eat downstairs, but you do not need to be staying there to use the restaurant. Street parking is available, although finding a space can be difficult in this busy part of Patong. The location is one of its biggest practical advantages: Jungceylon is nearby, Bangla Road is within walking distance, and Patong Beach is also just a short walk away.
