Siam Beach
A Secret Beach in Phuket

Siam Beach is one of Phuket’s smallest and quietest coastal gems — a secluded cove hidden beneath the Kata “Three Beaches” viewpoint. A proper road has been built in recent years, making access much easier than it once was. The entrance begins where the main road turns into a narrow path leading down the cliff. A gate and a short flight of stairs take you to a small Thai restaurant perched above the sea. To reach the beach itself, visitors pay a 100-baht fee, which includes one soft drink, before following the wooden stairs down through the trees — a scenic five-minute descent.
Facing north, with Kata Noi and Kata Beach visible in the distance, Siam Beach is a tiny rocky stretch of sand with shallow, crystal-clear water that’s perfect for snorkeling. The beach is so small that you’ll rarely see more than a handful of people there at any time, giving it a peaceful, almost private feel. The return climb up the stairs, however, can be quite the workout!

Siam Beach Highlights
-
Excellent snorkelling in calm, clear shallows
-
Hidden, tranquil location ideal for solitude seekers
-
Small Thai restaurant with sea views just above the beach

Siam Beach Drawbacks
-
Access involves a steep descent through private property (entrance fee required)
-
The climb back up can be tiring, especially in the midday heat
-
Limited space — the beach comfortably fits only a few visitors at a time
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Siam Beach is during the dry season (December to April), when the sea is calm and visibility ideal for snorkeling. Early mornings and late afternoons are the most enjoyable moments to relax in shade and avoid the strongest sun. In low season, the water can become rough and the descent slippery, so it’s best avoided after rain.
